herder – Light Collage
Several equal lamp shades, whose diverse light colors, temperatures and intensities are generated
through the use of different light bulbs, create the light collage herder. The shades are made of porcelain,
which diffuses the light and equalises the formal and technical differences between the standard LED-, Halogen-,
Filament- and Energy-saving bulbs, to create a plain bright face. Instead of focussing on the complex ecological
and economical decisions, which the abolition of the filament light brought, these lights emphasise the positive
moment of aesthetic and diversity. The traditional casting-process had to be modified, to pour the walls in two
different sizes. The thinner layer at the face of the light cares for the required transparency, while the
stronger walls of the sides are conducing to the stability.
